Masthead

I have chosen and created some of the suitable Font style and colour for the Masterhead. However I am have trouble as I don't know which one I should choose.

The first one in my opinion is too plane and simple. This would mean that not many people will be attracted to it. On the other hand some students have said that they prefer simple and elegant fonts.

The second font is more eye catching and will probably get some students attention but the horizontal black and white stripes makes the readers eyes hurt and the stripes makes the lettering disappear.

The third font is one of my favourites as there is a picture within the lettering. I feel like this is one of the more suitable Masterhead fonts as it's directly linked to my theme. On the other hand, I asked some of my friends about the image in the back and they have pointed out that the bats are quite hard to distinguish. I will need to sharpen the colour of the image and will need to add a text outline to make it more clear.

The next one is also very eye catching. It links in with the Halloween theme very nicely, the colours I have used go with each other. However I feel like it's too primary school-ish. The Sixth-Formers might think that it's too tacky and that the magazine is trying too hard.

The last font in my perspective is one of the best but I will need to change the font style and fine something else that's a little more bolder so the image will be seen more. However, a few of my peers have said that again, it is hard to see the actual image behind the words. I will need to re-think about my choices and which ones I think is more suitable.
